- Hi Y'all,
-
- Please don't flame me for trying this instead of buying commercial
- software, but;
-
- 1) Has anyone succeeded in unghosting the "inspect" and "verify"
- (I think) menu items under project ? If so, how ?.
-
- These were documented in the ADos 2.0 and 3.0 manuals, but the
- inline help doesn't discuss these.
-
- 2) Has anyone gotten BRU to backup to the "virtual" tape device
- with a Xetec Fastrac Host adapter ? (I do have a friend who succeede
- in doing so with the A3000 SCSI.) (And.. Yes I set up the proper
- device=harddisk.device and LU #) I seem to be able to get BRU to
- appear to write to tape but not read properly. I know the drive/host-
- adapter configuration work in principle since BTNTape and tar work fine.
-
- 3) If the virtual tape as defined in BRUTab doesn't work how can I
- convince BRU to use the BTNTape handler ?
-
- 4) If there are no good answers to the above can I configure
- HDBackup to use tar intelligently. BRU and tar (like LHa) have similiar
- command/option syntax.
-
- Basically I want to avoid writing a bunch of Arexx scripts to
- do full/incremental/directory backups since HDBackup already has
- a fairly nice Gui. (compared to what I could create)
